Louisville luminaries salute the canon completion!

We were very proud to work with a host of Louisville’s brightest lights on a video saluting the amazing work of 41 years of Walden Theatre Conservatory students. Take a look at the video below, and stay to the closing credits for a fun treat!

Thank you to so many people on this project! The following people delivered for us one of Shakespeare’s most famous speeches! If you think they make it look easy, check out the performances in store May 11-21 in our Young American Shakespeare Festival as our talented young actors complete the canon of Shakespeare’s plays with three shows in rep: King John, Henry VIII, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Click here for dates/times/info.

Full credit to our performers for the video: WDRB‘s Bill Lamb, Dawne Gee of WAVE 3 News, Congressman John Yarmuth (KY-3), Barbara Sexton Smith, attorney and LEO Weekly columnist Holly Houston, Matt Wallace of Kentucky Shakespeare, Mayor Greg Fischer, musician Will Oldham (Bonnie Prince Billy), Chef Damaris Phillips, former ambassador Matthew Barzun, Sadiqa Reynolds of Louisville Urban League, Inc., Kevin Fields of Louisville Central Community Centers, Tom Noland of Humana and Board Chair at Fund for the Arts, Tori Murden McClure of Spalding University David A.
