Beginning with Walden Theatre’s special student matinee performance of To Kill a Mockingbird at the Brown Theatre, our Outreach Program opened a very busy month bringing performing arts experiences to students and others in schools and community centers throughout the area.

The matinee at the Brown brought in 1,371 students from 13 different schools to see our young actors perform Mockingbird, and other programming will bring touring shows and workshops to 16 different schools this month alone! Featured programs that we take into schools include The Wings of Heroes – The Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, NATION IN CRISIS – A History of the Civil Rights Movement, and JOURNEY – A Trip on the Underground Railroad.

Please contact Dan Welch, our Outreach Director, to learn more about how your group, PTA, or school can bring history to life with Walden Theatre.
