Walden Theatre / Blue Apple Players presents
The Resistible Rise
of Arturo Ui
by Bertolt Brecht
directed by Alec Volz
original music composed and performed by Aaron Craker
A wannabe hoodlum with something to prove sets out to dominate the cauliflower market in gangster-era Chicago in this fast-paced satirical allegory of Adolf Hitler’s rise to power – featuring a raucous new musical score.
Please join us for this exciting show for a look at one of the great playwrights of the 20th century on the Nancy Niles Sexton Stage at Walden Theatre. Music director Aaron Craker (best known for his work in highly-regarded local bands Dr. Vitamin and Frederick the Younger) composed an original soundtrack for this production, after previously working with Walden Theatre on In the Pony Palace/FOOTBALL.
