Walden Theatre Conservatory — Enroll in Spring Classes
Thanks to some snow last week, it isn’t too late to register 8-18-year-olds in our nationally renowned Conservatory for young actors.
The nationally-respected Conservatory Program engages young people and our community through classes in acting, directing, playwriting, stagecraft, stage combat, dance, movement and voice and with our highly regarded season of plays. It isn’t too late to enroll in after school and Saturday morning classes!

Classes meet Saturday mornings or Monday evenings
In Improv older kids learn the actor’s toolkit—voice, body, imagination, courage—through active, fun exercises that develop confidence, teamwork, & attentiveness.
Studio (ages 10-13) | Apprentice (13-14) | Playmaking 1 (14-15)
Classes meet Wed & Fri evenings (Playmaking Tue & Thu)
Proceeding through these intermediate classes, young people discover and explore classic scripts and learn memorization, constructive criticism, movement, and much more to inform text-based artistic choices & creative risk taking in the creation of characters and scenes.

From Playmaking and Performance to Playwriting and Stagecraft, experienced students build on fundamentals and sharpen their skills in a range of intensive discipline-specific classes and performance opportunities that rival those available at the nation’s best known theatre programs for young people.
