by Steve Moulds, adapted from the Franz Kafka novel
directed by Hallie Dizdarevic
January 21-30: evenings Th-Fr-Sa @ 7:30 and matinee Saturday Jan 30 @ 2:00
Nancy Niles Sexton Stage at Walden Theatre/Blue Apple Players
Gregor Samsa awakes to find himself transformed into a giant vermin in this spectacularly imagined premiere adaptation of the Franz Kafka classic novel. Live music, inventive physicality, and expressionistic stage design will awaken audiences anew to this stark masterwork of modern alienation and absurdity.
Kafka’s Metamorphosis is part of the company’s Cornerstone Classics series of plays, which produces stories from among the “cornerstones” of the literary canon. The series reveals universal truths about life and emotional response and challenges young actors to engage fully with some of the finest works of literature.
