Young Playwrights Festival
by student playwrights involved in the Walden Theatre Conservatory’s Playwriting Program, co-produced by Melinda Crecelius and Diana Grisanti
A festival of new, short plays conceived, workshopped, performed, and even (a few) directed by theatre students, fully produced for a public audience. This festival celebrates the talents of our students and provides a valuable showcase for them to see their words brought to life–an important step in drafting and reworking a play that’s still in process.
This year’s playwrights include Ruby Osborne, Will DeVary, Meghan Northup, Emma Schweitzer, Ruthie Dworin, and Zoë Peterson.
In addition to the public performances, please join us for a special YPF Reading Series event on Saturday Feb 20 at 3pm in the 2nd floor Alt Space. There is no cost to attend, and this event will feature works by Samantha Bliss, Brooklyn Durs, Olivia Elkins, Xander Garret-Hovingh, Lindsey Hornung, Clark Jefferson, and Emma Schweitzer.
All shows just $8 (Reading Series is free)
