CTC+Americana: A Conservatory Satellite is an innovative, hands-on theatre education pilot project that brings Commonwealth Theatre Center’s world-class Walden Theatre Conservatory programs to 200 young people in South Louisville at Americana World Community Center. Young people ages 6-12 from a wide range of backgrounds will participate in this year-round project, including immigrant and refugee youth already served by Americana’s empowering programs plus students from surrounding South Louisville neighborhoods. Students will build from introductory workshops to fun, intensive fall and spring classes where students find their voices and practice making their own artistic choices.
